OGKW – Bounce Back Collection
We’re almost ready to release our very own Bounce Back Collection. Each T-Shirt will be based around a similar theme, and that theme is “Bounce Back!” If you’ve been following OGKW for a while now, you know that the Brand revolves around the trials and tribulations us humans face on a daily basis. No matter what life brings your way or what trials you face, God will always be there for you.
It always seems that the question that crosses every persons mind is… WHY? Why do we face the things we do in life? Ultimately, we need to realize that we will never truly know why; however, that doesn’t mean that we need to cower and hide from the problems we face on a daily basis. That’s where the concept “BOUNCE BACK” came from. Although times may get rough and we don’t know what to do, to stay strong we need to keep our heads up and move forward. We need to trust and have faith. As human beings we must stand our ground and not allow these trials and tribulations to make us stumble, and if at any moment they do, we need to BOUNCE BACK and re-establish ourselves.
Designs in this OGKW series demonstrate biblical stories and how the individuals within these passages overcame struggles and kept their head to the sky. They trusted GOD and allowed him to be the one in control. They Bounced Back and are great examples on how to stay strong and live our lives.
Below are pictures of one of the “BOUNCE BACK” designs. In this design we are portraying the story of Jonah and the Whale. In this particular story, God speaks to Jonah, commanding him to preach repentance to the city of Ninevah. Jonah found this order unbearable. Not only was Nineveh known for its wickedness, but it was also the capital of the Assyrian Empire, one of Israel’s fiercest enemies. Jonah, a stubborn fellow, did just the opposite of what he was told. He went down to the seaport of Joppa and booked a passage on a ship to Tarshish, heading directly away from Nineveh.
So, God sent a violent storm, which threatened to break the ship to pieces. The terrified crew determined that Jonah was responsible for the storm. Jonah told them to throw him overboard. First they tried rowing to shore, but the waves got even higher. Afraid of God, the sailors finally tossed Jonah into the sea, and the water immediately grew calm. The crew made a sacrifice to God, swearing vows to him.
Jonah didn’t drown either; he was swallowed by a great fish, which God provided. In the belly of the whale, Jonah repented and cried out to God in prayer. He was inside the fish for three days. Eventually, God commanded the Whale to vomit the reluctant prophet onto dry land. This time Jonah obeyed God. After delivering the message to the Ninevites, what Jonah was originally intended to do, the people of Ninevah repented and God had compassion on them. While Inside the Whale, Jonah came to realize that “SALVATION COMES ONLY FROM THE GOD.”
This is the message we are trying to convey in our “BOUNCE BACK” apparel series. We must keep our heads to the sky and trust in God. Although we may never understand his motives we must stay STRONG and have faith. Jonah didn’t originally follow the intentions and direction of God; however, after being vomited from the fish he knew that he had to trust God and BOUNCE BACK.
Keep watch for our NEW “BOUNCE BACK” apparel series. It’s COMING SOON!!!
